令和6年7月29日（月）インド派遣４日目

本日よりスシラビルラ高校での授業プログラムが始まります。

まずはスシラビルラ女子高校にて歓迎セレモニーです。スシラビルラ高校生による盛大な歓迎と先方校長らによるウェルカムスピーチ、我々は一生忘れはしないであろう、インドならではの文化感溢れるホスピタリティを体験しました。

派遣団は基本的にバディと一緒に行動します。

授業は全て英語で行われ、意見交流や発表型が多い印象です。小川高校生たちは新たな環境に戸惑いながらも、バディのサポートにより学びを深めていきます。

The first day of our exchange program in India was nothing short of unforgettable. As we arrived at the school, we were greeted with a grand welcoming ceremony. The students and teachers embraced us with open arms, their smiles radiating warmth and kindness. Traditional Indian music played in the background as we were adorned with garlands and tilak marks—a heartfelt gesture that made us feel truly special.

Our Ogawa students, initially nervous about stepping into this new environment, quickly found themselves surrounded by an atmosphere of genuine hospitality. Their homestay buddies played a crucial role in making the day smooth and memorable. Acting as guides and friends, they helped our students navigate the unfamiliar school grounds, introduced them to local customs, and eased their transition into this totally new world.

In the classrooms, our students experienced an educational system that was different yet fascinating. They joined in on lessons, observed cultural performances, and even participated in activities led by their Indian peers. Every moment was a discovery, that is totally a chance to learn and connect across cultural boundaries!

By the end of the day, our students had not only taken their first steps into an entirely new culture but had also formed the beginnings of friendships that promised to grow over the course of the program.

This warm and enriching welcome set the tone for what we knew would be a transformative journey!

【インド派遣】令和6年7月28日（日）インド派遣　インド派遣３日目

3日目はスシラビルラ女子高校に集合した後、バスにてコルカタ市内にある観光名所を巡ります。

ヴィクトリア記念館:イギリス統治時代を象徴する美しい大理石の建物で、博物館としても機能しています。庭園も見応えがありました。

ハウラー橋:世界的にも有名な大きな橋で、ガンジス川の支流フーグリー川を渡るランドマーク的存在です。バスで二度ハウラー橋を渡り、そこから見えるガンジス川の壮大さは素晴らしいものでした。

セント・ポール大聖堂:ゴシック様式の大聖堂で、静かな雰囲気と美しいステンドグラスが魅力的でした。

ビルラプラネタリウム:インドでも最大級のプラネタリウムで、天文学ショーが英語とヒンディー語で上映され、教育的内容でありながら宇宙を旅する気分になれる楽しいショーでした。

We explored iconic landmarks like the majestic Victoria Memorial and the bustling Howrah Bridge. These experiences gave my students a deeper appreciation of India’s vibrant heritage.

【インド派遣】令和6年7月27日（金）インド派遣　インド派遣２日目

ニューデリー市内にあるアスホックホテルに一泊し、早朝便コルカタ行きに搭乗します。

目にするもの、こと全てが新しく、聞こえてくる言語、音までもが新鮮であり、戸惑いでもあります。

派遣団生徒たちはこの環境に驚き苦戦しながらも目的地コルカタ、スシラビルラを目指します。

コルカタ空港到着後はホームステイファミリーに出迎えて頂き、それぞれがステイ先へ向かいました。本格的なステイ、プログラムのスタートです。

On their first day with their homestay families in Kolkata, my students were amazed by the vibrant culture and the diversity of the local language. Everything around them felt like a profound discovery, from the traditions of daily life to the dynamic interactions in English. Immersed in this new world, they quickly realized the importance of adapting and communicating, turning their initial surprise into an opportunity for personal growth.

令和6年7月26日（金）インド派遣　インド派遣１日目

成田空港からエアインディア航空でニューデリーまで渡航します。保護者の皆様にエールを頂き無事に出発式を終えた後、長い旅路のスタートです。

Our journey to India began with excitement as we arrived at New Delhi airport and settled into our hotel. The vibrant surroundings and our first encounter with authentic Indian cuisine were both surprising and delightful, marking the start of an unforgettable experience for my students.

令和６年７月２３日（火）インド大使館訪問

東京九段下にある在日インド大使館へ総勢約１００名で訪問し、インドについての理解を深めました。インド概要説明、ボリウッドダンス体験、ヨガ体験、そして特命全権大使の演説を通し、インドへ派遣される生徒のみならず、参加した全生徒及び教員が新たな視野や価値観を広げる貴重な機会となりました。

Our visit to the Indian Embassy in Tokyo was an enriching experience for my students. The staff shared valuable cultural insights, helping them appreciate India’s rich traditions and diverse heritage. These firsthand lessons deepened their understanding of cross-cultural connections and left a lasting impression on their global outlook.

第二回保護者会を開催しました。

渡航直前の注意事項、チケットやビザの配布、しおりの読み合わせを行い、渡航に備えます。

運営は派遣生徒8名が中心となり行いました。

渡航前ですが全10回の事前研修のうち7回を終了し、既に成長した姿が見られ頼もしいです。

保護者の皆様、お忙しい中、暑い中でのご参加誠にありがとうございました。

2024 (Sat) 2nd Parents' Meeting for the Project to Send Children to India

On Saturday, 20th of July 2024, the second parents' meeting for the project to send children to India was held.

The purpose of the meeting was to ensure thorough preparation for the upcoming trip. Activities included:

- Reading through the travel handbook
- Distributing tickets and visas
- Providing important precautions and guidelines for the journey

The meeting was primarily organized by the eight students selected for the trip. Despite being held prior to departure, seven of the ten pre-departure training sessions had already been completed, showcasing the students' significant growth and readiness for the adventure ahead.

【インド派遣事業】令和6年7月19日（金）インド派遣事壮行会

終業式後、インド派遣団の派遣決意表明式が行われました。

内容は派遣団紹介、引率者挨拶、代表生徒からの決意表明、校長激励となります。

「小川高校だけでなく埼玉県を代表して研修を積み、帰校後は現地で学んだ内容を家族、在校生、埼玉県の多くの人々に広めてゆくことが我々の使命の一つである」という決意を表明し、士気を高めました。

On Friday, 19 July 2024, a send-off ceremony was held for the Indian delegation from Ogawa High School. This event marked the culmination of their preparation and expressed their determination to embark on their journey to India.

The ceremony included several key elements:

1. Introduction of the Delegation:

Each member of the delegation was introduced, highlighting their roles and responsibilities.
2. Greeting from the Leader:

The leader of the delegation delivered a speech, emphasizing the significance of this opportunity and the responsibilities that come with it.

3. Statement of Determination from Representative Students:

Selected students expressed their commitment to representing not only Ogawa High School but also Saitama Prefecture. They emphasized their mission to share the knowledge and experiences gained in India with their families, current students, and the broader community upon their return.

4. Encouragement from the principle:

The principle offered words of encouragement, boosting the morale of the delegation and underscoring the importance of their journey.

The students' statements reinforced their dedication to the training program and their role in disseminating their newfound knowledge and experiences within Saitama Prefecture, thereby enhancing the overall morale and purpose of the delegation.

【インド派遣】令和6年7月19日（金）インド派遣事前研修インド文化研究成果発表会

約1ヵ月にわたるインド文化研究の成果を発表する機会となりました。

研究は2人1組のペアで行い、各ペア様々なテーマに係る研究成果を英語で発表します。

テーマ: 信仰、祭典、通貨、食文化

新たな学びばかりで渡航に向けて動機が高まっているようでした。

Presentation of the outcomes of the pre-departure training programme on Indian culture on 19 July 2024 (Friday).

Students had the opportunity to present the results of their month-long research into Indian culture.

The research was conducted in pairs, with each pair presenting their findings in English on various themes, including faith, celebration, currency, and food culture.

The new knowledge they gained has motivated them to travel.

【インド派遣】令和6年7月12日（金）インド派遣事前研修ホストファミリーへのメール

派遣開始まであと２週間となりました。

本日の研修でホストファミリーが発表となり、まずはメールでの挨拶を送る事から交流がスタートします。

ALTのプリンシス先生より英語でのメールの書き方を教えてもらい、その後実際に全員がホストバディに送信しました。

すぐに返信が来た生徒もいたようです。

メールのやり取りからSNSでのやりとりに移行した生徒も多くいるようで、渡航前から人間関係が構築されています。

海と国を越え、時間や気候が異なるインド姉妹校の生徒たちとリアルタイムに交流できることに多くの生徒が感動を覚えていたようです。

Dispatch to India: Pre-Departure Training Update

Email to Host Families - Friday, July 12, 2024

We are just two weeks away from the commencement of our student exchange program to India.

During today's pre-departure training, we have revealed their host families. The students have began the exchange by sending introductory emails to their host families.

Our ALT, Princis,m taught the students how to write emails in English. The students practiced by sending emails to their host buddies, and many received prompt replies.

Several students have progressed from email exchanges to social networking, establishing connections with their host buddies even before the trip.

The students were thrilled by the opportunity to communicate in real time with their counterparts from our sister schools in India. This experience has allowed them to bridge distances across oceans, countries, and different time and climate zones.

【インド派遣事業】令和６年７月４日（木）埼玉大学におけるインド工科大学留学生による講演会

　埼玉大学国際企画課が主催するインド紹介についての講演会に本校インド派遣生徒が参加しました。

　埼玉大学大学院で学ぶインド出身ラーフル・バルティさんのインドについての洞察に満ちた講演会では、インドの豊かな文化的、経済的、歴史的魅力を非常に分かり易く説明してくださいました。講演は質疑応答も含め全て英語で行われました。

　古代文明から現代の先進的技術発展まで、彼の講話はインドが持つ多様性とダイナミズムで聴衆を魅了しました。これから派遣となる我々にとってはどの情報も貴重で、驚きの連続で満ち溢れるであろうインドへ向けての心がまえと大きな動機付けになりました。

              Sir, Rahul Bharti's insightful report paints a vivid picture of India's rich cultural tapestry, economic vitality, and spiritual heritage. From ancient civilizations to modern infrastructure, India's story captivates with its diversity and dynamism.

              All of the information was valuable for those of us who are about to be sent to India, and it provided us with great motivation and preparation for a trip to India, which will be full of surprises.
