11月4日（火）インド姉妹校来校５日目（華道体験）　　Tuesday, November 4: 5th day of visit from the Indian sister school (Flower arrangement experience)

　11月4日（火）はインドのコルカタにある本校姉妹校生徒13名が来日して5日目になります。10月31日（金）の21:00過ぎに本校に到着し、その日はホームステイ先に移動。11月1日（土）はホームステイ先での自由研修。11月2日（日）は東京自由見学。そして11月3日（祝月）は県北のバスツアーを実施しました。

　そして11月4日（火）から11月7日（金）までは、ホストファミリー生徒のホームルームで、実際に本校の授業を受けてもらいます。朝、職員朝会にて、来日された先生方、生徒の皆さんの紹介をしました。そして１限から本校生徒に交じり、授業です。

　昼休みに歓迎式典を講義室にて実施しました。7月にコルカタを訪問した生徒たちが運営実施してくれました。

　午後の授業の後、華道部の生徒に交じり、華道体験をしてもらいました。本校ESS部の生徒も交じり、和気あいあいと体験学習を行っていたと思います。思い思いに花を活けていただきました。その後、華道の体験学習講師の先生に、手直しをしていただき、華道のお花の生け方の基本について、指導して頂きました。

　日本の伝統文化を通じて、相互理解が促進されることを期待しています。　

Tuesday, November 4th marks the fifth day since 13 students from our sister school in Kolkata, India, arrived in Japan. They arrived at our school after 9:00 PM on Friday, October 31st, and moved to their homestay accommodations that day. On Saturday, November 1st, they had free time at their homestays. On Sunday, November 2nd, they toured Tokyo freely. On Monday, November 3rd (a public holiday), they went on a bus tour in the northern part of the prefecture.

From Tuesday, November 4th to Friday, November 7th, the visiting students will join their host family students in homeroom and attend actual classes at our school. In the morning, during the staff morning meeting, we introduced the visiting teachers and students. Then, from the first period, they joined the classes along with our students.

During lunch break, we held a welcoming ceremony in the lecture room, organized and conducted by students who visited Kolkata in July.

After the afternoon classes, they participated in a flower arrangement experience with members of the Ikebana (flower arranging) Club. Students from our ESS Club also joined, and I think they had a friendly and enjoyable hands-on learning session. Each student arranged flowers in their own way. Afterward, the Ikebana instructor corrected and guided them, teaching the basics of flower arrangement.

We hope that this experience of Japanese traditional culture will help promote mutual understanding.
