11月3日（祝月）インド姉妹校生徒との県北バスツアー　　November 3 (Holiday Monday) Prefecture Northern Bus Tour with Students from Our Sister School in India

　11月3日（祝月）インド姉妹校生徒との県北バスツアーを実施しました。小川高校の位置する県西北部の地域を、インドの姉妹校生徒に紹介するのが目的ですが、おがわ学を通じた地域課題発見・課題解決のカリキュラムを実施している本校生徒にとっても、地元である県西北部を巡検した経験はそれほど多くなく良い機会だと思います。

　巡検のコースはまず、秩父札所の２８番橋立寺から。橋立寺は石灰岩を算出する武甲山の西麓にあります。巨大な一枚岩の岸壁がそそり立つその下に位置しています。地元ガイドの方から、秩父札所巡礼のお話などをうかがった後、鍾乳洞へ。この札所の地下には県指定文化財である鍾乳洞があるのです。鍾乳洞見学の後、次は浦山ダムへ。浦山ダムからは秩父市内を眺望しました。

　ダム見学の後は昼食のバーベキュー。シイタケ狩りを行い、地元の新鮮な食材をいただきました。そして秩父神社へ。初期権現造の社殿を見学し、一路、バスは上里へ。上里では最新式のウナギの養殖場を見学しました。

　まる１日の地域巡検になりましたが、いかがだったでしょうか？参加者の知見が豊かになり、今後の学習活動に活かされることを期待しています。

On November 3rd (National Holiday, Monday), we conducted a northern prefecture bus tour with students from our sister school in India. The purpose was to introduce the region in the northwestern part of the prefecture, where Ogawa High School is located, to the students from the Indian sister school. For our own students, who are engaged in the curriculum of discovering and solving regional issues through Ogawa studies, this was also a valuable opportunity, as they do not often have the chance to explore their local northwestern region in depth.

The inspection course began at Chichibu Fudasho Temple No. 28, Hashidate-dera. Hashidate-dera is located at the western foot of Mount Bukō, which produces limestone. It sits beneath a massive cliff of solid rock. After hearing stories from a local guide about the Chichibu pilgrimage, we visited a limestone cave. This temple has a limestone cave underground, designated as a cultural property by the prefecture. After exploring the cave, we headed to Urayama Dam, from where we enjoyed views over Chichibu City.

Following the dam visit, we had a barbecue lunch. We also went shiitake mushroom picking and enjoyed fresh local ingredients. Then we visited Chichibu Shrine, where we observed the early Gongen-style shrine buildings. From there, the bus proceeded to Kamisato, where we toured a state-of-the-art eel farm.

It turned out to be a full day of regional exploration. How did you find it? We hope that the participants gained valuable insights and that this experience will be useful in their future learning activities.
